Industry: General Aviation

Market: Piston engine segment of General Aviation that includes more than 175,000 active single and twin engine aircraft.

Product: Advanced technology propellers with fiberglass and graphite fiber reinforced composite blades that sell for half the price of a composite prop and competitive with fiberglass over wood composite propeller. The all-composite blade offers significant advantages over other blades in weight, strength, vibration, durability and reparability.

Product Development: Nearing completion of Phase I of its business plan. Test blades have been produced and retention capacity tested. Dynamic engine testing and initial flight tests are complete. Phase II consists of propeller certification by the FAA and transition to full-scale production.

Sales Strategy: Propeller sales have begun to the experimental market with the first delivery scheduled for January 2001. AeroComposites estimates that it can achieve a market share of 20% ($15-20 million) in five years.

Capital Requirements: Seeks equity capital of $2.5 million to finance Kit/Home Built market production and FAA certification and transition to full-scale production.
