Going Solo, The Best Resources for Entrepreneurs & Freelancers

Stanley I. Mason Jr., Editor
Published by Resource Pathways Guidebook

Stanley Mason Jr., the editor of Going Solo, was pilot during WWII and used to fly over towns and think about how many people operated their own small businesses. Even the large companies started out as small ones. That epiphany drove Mason to become an entrepreneur for the last 30 years.

He went on to become the founder and CEO of Simco, Inc. a product development enterprise. He holds 55 patents and eight foreign country patents of many well-known products including the first shaped disposable diaper and the first granola bar.

Mason and his research staff have compiled an excellent guidebook for anyone who has ever dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur or is already a veteran freelancer. Going Solo also offers helpful advice for women, minorities and young entrepreneurs looking to start their fledgling businesses.

Stew Leonard Jr., founder of the World's Largest Dairy Store, has called this book the "Zagat guide" for entrepreneurs.

It contains short articles and suggestions about:
? Assessing your skills, interests and assets to match you with  the right business
? How to transition from employee to freelancer or consultant
? Creating and managing a successful business
? Developing a successful home business
? Where to find information and advice on marketing, sales, taxes and other business
      concerns for entrepreneurs
? Researching opportunities in high-tech and Internet-based  businesses

Going Solo also identifies and rates many of the best available sources of consumer-oriented information focused on becoming an entrepreneur, including printed books, Web sites and online services and CD-ROM & software.

Whether you're a budding entrepreneur or established veteran freelancer, you will find helpful tips and suggestions to raise your business to the next level.
